About The Event

On March 31 we’ll be heading to the National Watch and Clock Museum in Columbia.  We’ll catch a late lunch afterwards across the river at the John Wright restaurant in Wrightsville.

Based on reviews on TripAdvisor, people really like the clock museum.  Read some yourself at the link below.

Since many of us are gearheads at heart, and clocks are nothing but gears, it should be a great fit!

Here’s the link to the museum website.

To get a private tour with a guide, we need a minimum of 10 people (which I hope won’t be a problem).  This also gets us 50% off the admission, and which would be only $5.

This will be a cruise, but bring whatever vehicle you’d like.  We will meet in the parking lot of the old Boiling Springs Tavern at 9:00 am on March 31.  After signing waivers, we’ll head out around 9:20 or so using backroads.  See the route in the map link below.  Bring radios if you have them.

We should arrive at the museum around 10:45, in time for our 11:00 tour.  After about 1 1/2 - 2 hours of enjoying the museum, we’ll head out for lunch to the John Wright.  It’s 2 miles away across the bridge.  There’s a great view of the river and bridge from the restaurant.  Link to their website with menus.  https://jwrpa.com

Maybe we can get some of our Corvettes together for a cool group shot.  Here’s a picture I took there.

Return home at your leisure.  I need a headcount to make sure we can get a tour guide and also to reserve space for lunch.

Hope to see many of you there.
