We will be Cruising to the Finger Lakes on April 12-15, 2024.  This Cruise was originally scheduled for May, but has shifted to April because Watkins Glen International Motor Speedway has added a private event and canceled the “Drive the Glen” sessions for that weekend.

This Cruise is from Friday to Monday morning.  If you can't leave on Friday due to work, leave after work, it's just a 4 hour drive to Hammondsport, NY to join us that evening.  You will miss the “Drive the Glen” and the Friday night dinner. However, you could fit your “Drive the Glen” session in at noon on Saturday. If you have to be at work Monday morning, head home on Sunday evening before or after our dinner. Adjust your room booking accordingly.

Friday, April 12th -

08:30am -

Meet at the Ranch House Restaurant just North of Duncannon on US 15N for Breakfast and Participant briefing. After breakfast and completion of Admin (sign-in/waivers) we will depart for Hammondsport, NY.  Website: www.ranchhouseperryco.com

10:45am -

Pit Stop at Exxon Station at Liberty, PA Exit off US 15N

12:15pm -

Arrive at Maybe Baby Burgers in Bath, NY for Lunch. Website: www.maybebabyburgers.com

1:30pm -

Arrive/Check-in Best Western Plus, Hammondsport, NY, our hotel for the Cruise. Relax/Freshen up.

3:30pm -

Meet in Lobby/Depart for Watkins Glen International Motor Speedway

5:00pm -

We will "Drive the Glen", taking three laps around the track led by a pace car. There are fast race tracks. There are hilly race tracks.  The Glen is both fast and hilly! While we won't be at racing speeds, it will be sufficiently fast and enjoyable! See below for purchasing your "Drive the Glen" Ticket and Downloading your Waiver Form.

5:30pm -

Drive to Restaurant in Hammondsport and have Dinner

8:30pm - Return to hotel

Saturday, April 13th -

Breakfast on your own at the hotel (comes with the room) or a local diner.

9:45am -

Meet in the Hotel Lobby/Depart for the Curtiss Museum. Several of us were up there a couple years ago. Glenn Curtis was one of the significant pioneers of airplane and motorcycle development. The museum exceeded our expectations. If you have previously visited the museum and want to pass, you can hangout at the hotel or visit a couple of the local wineries, and link up and rejoin the group at the Curtiss Museum at 11:45am

12:00pm  -

Depart for Watkins Glen for Lunch and then hit the Seneca Lake Wine Trail for the afternoon.

6:00pm -

Dinner at Consentino's Ristorante in Geneva, NY for Italian Cuisine. Website: www.consentinosgeneva.com

8:00pm -

Depart for hotel. Once back at the hotel, if you're still up for it, some more socialization! After an afternoon on the Wine Trail, there should be sufficient beverage available for consumption around one of the hotel fire pits!

Sunday, April 14th -

10:15am -

Meet in hotel lobby; Depart for Bully Hill Vineyards, Hammondsport, NY for a Sunday Mimosa Brunch. Website: www.bullyhillvineyards.com

12:00pm - Until your worn out

Hit the Keuka Lake Wine Trail/Return to Hotel to relax, recoup, socialize as desired

5:00pm -

Meet in the hotel lobby/Depart for dinner. For those who need to return home on Sunday evening, you can depart for home before or after dinner as desired.

Monday, April 15th -

Breakfast on your own and Depart for home as desired.

Hotel Information

I have 15 rooms (8 with 2 Queens, 7 with King) reserved and can get more if needed. Rates are $152 plus taxes for Friday and Saturday, and $116 plus taxes Sunday.

The hotel has blocked these rooms until the end of February, but if you know you are interested in going, I would like you to RSVP the Cruise and Book now so I can get an early headcount for the various reservations I need to make.

To book your room, call the Best Western at (607) 224-4120. Our block of reserved rooms is under, "Corvette Club."  When you are booking your room, make sure you state, “I am/We are with the Corvette Club Group.”  If your plans change, you can cancel your reservation with full refund NLT March 12th.

"Drive The Glen" Ticket Information

To purchase your $30 Drive the Glen Ticket (1 ticket/car is all you need) go to the Watkins Glen International Motor Speedway website at: www.theglen.com .  Click on the "BUY 2024 DRIVE THE GLEN" and then purchase your Ticket. Then carefully read all the instructions and rules that govern the event. Finally, download the Adult Waiver Form for each person, fill it out and make sure you bring your Waiver(s) and your Ticket on the Cruise. You will present them along with your Driver's License and Proof of Insurance at the Entrance Gate.
