We will do the trip to the 1000 Islands over the Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 6-9.  The continuation trip to Lake Placid will be Oct. 9-12.  Due to availability, it is important that you book your rooms as soon as possible.  You can cancel later if your plans change.

The Edgewood Resort in Alexandria Bay has a block of rooms set aside for us.  You need to call them directly to book and reference the CVCC block at 315-482-3569.  Since it’s the off-season, you may need to leave a message, and they will call you back.  Janine and Buddy are the resort owners, as well as Corvette owners (has 2 C1’s and 2 C2’s).  There are two room choices, Waterfront ($179/night) and Harborview ($159/night).  These are discounted rates based on a 3 night stay.  You can specify lower or upper level rooms, accessible by stairs.  Waterfront rooms are right on the St. Lawrence River.  Unfortunately, due to staffing issues, breakfast is not currently offered.  However, here are a number of restaurants nearby. Their 7 day cancellation policy will be explained when you call to reserve.  

The Crowne Plaza in Lake Placid does not set aside blocks of rooms for small groups like us, so no special rate for us.  You can call them directly at 518-523-2556 to book a room or go to their website:  https://www.ihg.com/crowneplaza/hotels/us/en/lake-placid/lkpny/hoteldetail  The Crowne Plaza has a couple different room options and price points available.  They also have a 7 day cancellation policy.  Breakfast is not included in the room rate, but there is an in-house restaurant.
